Workshop aims:

  • To highlight and investigate some challenges and barriers that parents may have to the outdoors as a learning environment.
  • To explore ways to really know your families and what motivates them in terms of their children’s learning.
  • To offer some practical ideas which may draw parents and families in to ‘the great outdoors’.

Session overview:

A combination of workshop leader input, activities and time for reflection, drawing together learning and ideas.

Meeting the The Outrageous Nature Company’s core values:
The activities in this workshop will be based on the principle of playful adults. It will be active and the activities will be based around parent’s possible motivations. Using sustainable resources the workshop will be built on the premise that we work with parents as equal educators in their children’s learning but also that learning is all around us in whatever community we live.
