Creeping Toad is Gordon MacLellan. Environmental artist and storyteller with a background in ecology and education. Gordon sets out to encourage people to explore their relationship with the world around them and remind themselves that ‘we live in a world worth celebrating”. This dynamic combination of science and creativity has made him one of the UK’s leading environmental educators.

From poetry residencies, to work with early years groups and a town project around a “Birthday Party for a Lost Abbey”, Creeping Toad work is known for its creativity, innovation and a sense of sheer delight in the world around us.

Gordon runs events, workshops and training courses all over the country, and increasingly overseas, with recent work in Slovakia, South Africa and the United States.

Gordon is a trained ecologist and experienced teacher (BSc Hons, Zoology, Glasgow 1981; PGCE Dunelm 1982). He has worked with people of all ages in education for many years as a school teacher, a countryside warden, an FE lecturer and heritage interpretation officer.
